In GEN Rule 2.2.2
Providing Credit means providing aCredit Facility to aPerson in his capacity as a borrower or potential borrower.

1. Where anAuthorised Firm is providing brokerage services pursuant to itsFinancial Service ofDealing inInvestments asAgent , it may in the ordinary course of that business also be necessary to provide margin lending facilities to itsClients . In doing so theAuthorised Firm will not be considered to beProviding Credit to itsClient .2. Where anAuthorised Firm isEffecting Contracts of Insurance orCarrying Out Contracts of Insurance , it may in the ordinary course of thatInsurance Business be necessary to provide an instalment contract to aClient with respect to the payment of an insurance premium.
